So I have to say, this year has certainly been hard. It has been financially stressful with the shut downs and restrictions. Every time we turned around there were new rules or new info about this disease which made it next to impossible to run a business legally without fear of getting turned in for whatever reasoning. Finding the balance between staying open and staying safe is enough to drive anyone over the edge. Here at the Colson corral we are family. Our staff, st...udents, lesson parents, everyone. This sense of community we are creating here is the most amazing feeling in the world and my reason to keep going day after day. And as any farmer can tell you, winter is the hardest part of the year for us financially. We don’t ask for help because we always make it work but to the person who gifted us grain for the horses last night, thank you. A million times thank you. We don’t know who you are but you definitely made me cry this morning. Small gestures like this restore my faith that we will make it through these hard times and on to brighter days ahead. And I am so eternally grateful to have such an amazing barn family supporting us. To all our barn family and community, thank you for all your love and support for us and the horses. We have so many awesome things planned for once all this covid garbage is over. I hope you all stay tuned and join us We miss you all terribly. I am still teaching lessons over the winter but please keep in mind it is weather dependent and I have to keep the safety of the horse and the rider in mind when scheduling. (We always welcome visitors to come love on the horses though! Just send a message when you want to stop by!)

*****Summer Sale***** Lessons are back in full swing! We offer one-on-one western horseback riding lessons for ages 4 and up (we will consider younger kids on a case by case basis). Lesson students are taught how to handle a horse both from the ground and in the saddle, basic horse care/maintenance, riding safety and of course how to ride! Every lesson is tailored to the students unique needs and interests. Once a student is able to properly handle their horse in lessons, tra...il riding and showing opportunities are available! Not sure if you or your child want to learn how to ride? We offer trial lessons for half price! You’d get to love on the horses and get a mini riding lesson to see if it’s something you/your child enjoys before committing to a full riding lesson experience. ***please note that trial lessons are always on a lead line so it is classified as a pony ride versus a full lesson where the rider gets to fully control their own horse*** From now until September 1st, we are offering a package of 6 lessons for $100. (Lessons are generally $20/ each) Trial lessons are $10/each and open to children and adults of all ages. Birthday parties are $250 for 6 hours here at the farm and $300 for 6 hours if we travel to you(within one hours drive from the farm) ***Coming Soon!*** Group rates for siblings and friends that want to ride together.
