Zak Ringelstein (former teacher, 2x edtech entrepreneur with an exit under his belt, Forbes 30 Under 30, CC '08, and TC Doctoral student) will discuss trends in EdTech in the new world of remote learning and share his story about his new company, Zigazoo. Zak Ringelstein is a teacher who sold his first edtech company in 2015 and started his second, Zigazoo, this past March at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. TechCrunch has called Zigazoo the TikTok for Kids because it gives children the opportunity to share short videos in response to educational prompts. Ringelstein graduated from Columbia College in 2008, was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2015, was the first millennial to be a major party nominee for U.S. Senate in 2018, and recently started a doctoral program at Columbia University’s Teachers College. He and his wife, Leah, have two boys and another due any day.
