Greetings Community! Con Edison will begin Emergency Electric Repair work in our area. The work is set to begin Saturday, March 6th, and will be ongoing. In short, Con Edison is replacing the transformer at the Brownsville substation located at 247 Williams Ave. It will require substantial activity in and around the area as they exchange the transformer. Out of an abundance of caution, Con-Ed will temporarily close the sidewalks to accommodate the use of the crane and related... vehicles and request that pedestrians use the opposite sidewalk. Most of the work will be located inside the substation. Please see the attached dates, and times that the work will take place. Be sure to share this information with your networks. There are three ways you can vote in this year’s general election: Vote by Absentee Ballot... You must request your absentee ballot by Tuesday, October 27. However, don’t delay- request it now online at nycabsentee.com or by calling 1-866-VOTE-NYC. Once you receive your absentee ballot, remember to fill it out completely and sign and date the oath envelope. You must postmark or drop off your absentee ballot at any BOE office, early voting poll site, or Election Day poll site by November 3. Vote Early Early voting starts this Saturday, October 24, and runs through Sunday, November 1. Avoid Election Day lines and crowds by voting early.
