Santa has confirmed with us a rough estimate of his patrol through the Modena Fire District for Sunday the 20th. He plans to get to as many areas in the District as he can and hopes to see plenty of smiling faces and waving hands along the way. Approximate times and locations are as follows: 10:00-10:45 -- Firehouse to 44/55 East, Prospect St, Country Pond Ln, Plate Rd, The Meadows (Meadow Ln), Route 32 (South of the 44/55 Intersection), and Orchard Dr 10:45-11:00 -- Rolling... Acres, Cipriano Rd, Milton Turnpike, Rabbit Run Rd, H Urban Dr, Camp Sunset Rd, and The Modena Country Club 11:30-12:00 -- Plattekill Ardonia Rd, Country Knolls Rd, South Ohioville Rd, Aloha Acres, Allhusen Rd, Carroll Ln, Anthony Dr, Rte 32 (North of the 44/55 Intersection), Molson Boulevard, and Fox Run Dr 12:00-13:00 Patura Rd, Foxwood Terrace, Patura Gardens (Neptune, Pluto, and Jupiter Dr), and Freetown Rd

Our area has officially been issued the first Winter Storm Warning of the season. All signs point toward a 12-18 inch snow event starting tomorrow afternoon/evening and lasting until Thursday noontime. As always, please try to get ahead of the storm and get off the roads before the big stuff really starts to come down.

To the residents of the Modena Fire District. This Sunday, 12/20, keep an eye and an ear out for that jolly old soul Santa! The North Pole has contacted us and let us know he will be in the area making final preparations for Christmas Eve. As is with everything this year, protocols have changed and Santa will not be able to take pictures and hand out treats in accordance with social distancing. Further details on what time and where he will be will follow!

Modena responded with a tanker and manpower to assist New Paltz at a barn fire on Springtown Rd last night.
