A sustainable approach to agriculture is not only good for business, but good for farmers. This is one of the many takeaways from the Online Cacao Summit 2020. Cacao producers explained that they work to attain organic and biodynamic certification for many of their farmers to access a better price for cacao. As part of the process, they encouraged small farmers of the cooperative to diversify and plant vegetable gardens for their own consumption, and that has given those fa...rmers much-needed food security during the quarantine period when movement was restricted.
