Josie's Fundraiser just hit $3,500! We are so thankful for Josie and all those who have donated. Donations from this fundraiser will help us expand the BackPack Program and help us begin our Summer Meals Program! Interested in donating? All you need to do is bring a donation of pre-packed snacks, canned goods, or other non-perishable food items to the parking lot on the corner of N. Mohawk and Mohawk St at 12:20 PM on Saturday March 6th.... All donations will benefit the Connect Center for Youth BackPack Program! The BackPack Program provides children facing food insecurity with healthy and easy to make meals and snacks. If you are unable to meet us for the parade, don't worry! You can bring donations to these three Cohoes Businesses until March 6th: Fur-Ever Friends Doggie Daycare & MORE - 151 Saratoga St. Teta Marie's Lebanese Restaurant - 93 Ontario St. LePage's Market - 342 North Mohawk St. Share this post to help us spread the word! Join us on Tuesday, March 9th to learn how to DJ, create custom beats, and record your own music or podcasts with BPM Lessons! BPM Lessons is a local music program for teenagers, ages 13 - 18. Their mission is to introduce teens to the basics of music production through fun and engaging lessons. The Connect Center has partnered with BPM Lessons to provide free lessons to Cohoes youth. We are looking for volunteers for the BackPack Program! The BackPack Program helps alleviate child hunger by discreetly providing children with backpacks full of nutritious and easy-to-prepare food on Friday afternoons so they have food to eat throughout the weekend.
