As you read this, nearly 113,000 people in the United States are waiting for a lifesaving organ, that's more people than all of the seats at the KeyBank Center,... New Era Field, and Salen's Field COMBINED. More than 10% of those waiting are our fellow New Yorkers. Learn more about organ donation and register your decision to be a donor at ConnectLife.org/Register Thank you LifeCenter Organ Donor Network for the photo :)

We finished our recent "Improving Organ Authorization Rates: Utilizing the Dual Advocacy Model to Assure Informed & Empowered Donation Decisions" virtual class...room training (VCT) of 2020 in early April with participants from ConnectLife Syracuse, LiveOnNY, OurLegacy - Saving Lives through Organ and Tissue Donation, Center for Donation & Transplant New York - Vermont, Donate Life Colorado, and Donate Life Wyoming. Learners received an introduction to the skills and knowledge required to provide timely, compassionate, and informed donation opportunities to all donor families in a variety of commonly encountered, straightforward, and challenging situations. They also interacted with the Institute’s donation professionals and other learners in the donation field to discuss topics related to organ authorization. "Excellent course," shared one learner. "The instructors brought so much experience and professionalism in their teaching." Our next remote organ authorization VCT will take place over five weeks from July 5th, 2020 - August 8th, 2020.
