Excited is an understatement in the Connors’ house when one of our fav customers, Mrs Wentworth drops off her holiday cookie spread for us to devour!

Basement renovation underway at the Connors house. This is just the start of our own basement . A space that doesn’t get a whole lot of love or attention and has been a big project we’ve been slowly chipping away at between jobs. This was originally a very wet, dark & empty space. We first had to install drainage tile system throughout the perimeter of the basement and then we installed a DriCore flooring system. We installed egress windows to code and added electric, framed walls, drywall, insulation, can lights and paint. We also installed LVP flooring. 1 room down, an office, a common space, laundry room and a much needed 2nd bathroom to go! A contractors house is always last on the list.

A need for some privacy in a townhome was solved! Work includes custom built privacy screens and staining entire deck using a Cabot solid custom color oil based stain.

A little girls playroom and bedroom got rescued by CHC recently. These homeowners were left with an absolute disaster from previous contractors. I just wanted to take a minute and thank our new and loyal customers alike for being so patient with us. No one ever expected how big of an impact this pandemic would be on nearly every aspect of our small business and personal lives. We are clawing every day to get back into normalcy but we continue to face obstacles daily. These include something as simple as finding lumber ( apparently is the new toilet paper ) to shipping delays on special order products to impacts on our family time. The time we have to do estimates has now been cut drastically in order to fulfill the current workload. We are doing our very best and appreciate and thank you for your patience and understanding as we all find our new normal. Thank you for continuing to be the best customers ever!

At CHC we don’t pressure our valued customers into making your project larger like some other companies may. We listen to what your needs are, we listen to your budget and we respect your vision no matter how large or small. This customer needed to make their master bathroom bigger to allow a visually impaired owner access their bathroom safely and on a limited budget. We were able to accomplish this request by keeping the current layout of the shower, toilet and sink. We in...creased the bathroom size by extending the wall two feet into the bedroom. This also allowed us to make another small closet behind the current shower wall and enabled us to remove the wall that divided the shower and powder room; thus making the space visually more appealing and more importantly, having a clear pathway for the customer to access the toilet and shower. The government has deemed construction non-essential. ***To clarify, CHC is excluded as per www.esd.ny.gov*** please see the following quote For purposes of this section construction work does not include a single worker, who is the sole employee/worker on a job site.... As new developments are made we have continued to reduce our workload as well as rescheduling/postponing in home estimates and consultations. Upon conclusion of the current job, we are evaluating the possibility of closing for a couple of weeks. Please continue to call for estimates but be advised, we will be scheduling them after April 20th. Because the information remains fluid and always changing, continue to follow us here for the latest updates.
