Thanksgiving Greetings from all of us at Cooper Square Vet and a reminder that no matter how much you get the "Begging Eyes" save the Turkey Dinner for people. You can save a trip to the Vet by sticking with pet safe and friendly treats and remind your guests no slipping snacks under the table! Cooper Square will be closed Thanksgiving Day and open at Noon the following Friday. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Apparently, Winter arrived ahead of schedule this year. Just a reminder your small dogs need a few extra layers in the cold weather. If your cats are radiator sleepers, remember to place blanket over the pipes to prevent burns. Stay warm!
The Cone of Shame: They hate it, you hate it, everyone hates it...but they are key to post surgical recovery. Their primary purpose is keeping your pet from re-opening the surgical site and speeding the healing process. If you're pet is sent home with an Elizabethan Collar, keep it securely in place unless you are with arm's reach. It's much better than a second surgery to close an incision.
