Apparently, Winter arrived ahead of schedule this year. Just a reminder your small dogs need a few extra layers in the cold weather. If your cats are radiator sleepers, remember to place blanket over the pipes to prevent burns. Stay warm!

The Cone of Shame: They hate it, you hate it, everyone hates it...but they are key to post surgical recovery. Their primary purpose is keeping your pet from re-opening the surgical site and speeding the healing process. If you're pet is sent home with an Elizabethan Collar, keep it securely in place unless you are with arm's reach. It's much better than a second surgery to close an incision.
