A special thank you to the Class of 2020 for your generous gift to the Ann Stewart Summer Internship Fund. We appreciate your generosity. The Faculty and Staff at CGP
Museums have been hit very hard during this COVID crisis as admission revenue streams have come to a halt. The Cooperstown Graduate Association wants to serve as a source of support and assistance for its members during this time. We are establishing an emergency relief fund intended to provide financial assistance to those members who find themselves in immediate need as a result of the economic disruptions caused by the pandemic. Grants to individuals ranging from $100 to $250 are intended to cover basic expenses such as food, housing and utilities. In such times as this, we believe we must support one another. The first-year students (and a couple of second years) had a great visit to The Center in Utica today (formerly the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees). If you're not familiar with this incredible organization, check out their newly redesigned website: https://www.thecenterutica.org/. Since 1981, they have resettled over 16,500 refugees in Utica. They don't just do resettlement, however; they offer education programs, employment services, translation and interpretation, immigration and citizenship support, cultural competency training, and more. #RefugeesWelcome #Equity #Inclusion #Diversity

Part of the mission of Cooperstown Graduate Program is for our students to serve our community. As part of our curriculum, our students are paired up with local organizations and non-profits to help research a project they are working on. In 2013, a group of students worked with the Friends of Doubleday Field to research the construction and changes to the field. Their research was recently featured on the website to help tell the story of this important Cooperstown landmark -> https://www.friendsofdoubleday.org/past
We just learned of the passing of your fellow CGP alumnus, Rosemary Reese on December 26, 2018. Posted is the link to her obituary which recently appeared on the Tasker Funeral Home website. https://www.meaningfulfunerals.net/obituary/rosemary-reese. Rosemary graduated in 1970 and married classmate "Jerry Reese" Our thoughts are with her family at this time.
Some special guests stopped by our holiday potluck! Alumni! What was your signature dish to bring to this CGP tradition?
It's #GivingTuesday We couldn't do everything without you. Your support makes it possible to send our students around the country for internships, professional development, and community outreach. We are so proud of the work we are able to do and the work our alumni continues to do to bring the arts to all communities. Thank you. This Tuesday, consider making a gift to one of our funds -> http://cgpmuseumstudies.org/support-cgp/
Did you know the Cooperstown Graduate Program has over 1,000 alumni around the world? Our extensive network extends beyond graduation to lifetime connections. On a recent trip to Israel, Emily Lang (class of 2013) got to go on a tour of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem with Lisa Amelan (class of 1985).
