Congratulations! to our Staff Athletes team members #CORERUNS for accomplishing a milestone life acheivement of running and completing the NYC Marathon! For over 16 years, we at CORE have prided ourselves on ensuring that our clients many of whom are underserved are treated with dignity and respect are provided world class services in the social service field, including assistance with permanent housing, employment, financial services, as well as health & wellness activi...ties. In 2018 we’ve partnered with local running organization @teamwrk aka We Run Kings to create a running club #CORERUNS and we started running 3 times a week. Later that year we sent 2 of our Staff members as well as our CEO, to the 2018 NYC Marathon. And they crushed it. They have inspired 6 others to step up to this challenge. This year, we sent those 6 colleagues to the 2019 NYC Marathon. From weekly early 6:30am practice runs before work, to weekend long runs with the team @teamwrk, #CORERUNS has preserved and accomplished a major milestone in their lives. All 6 of our Corporate Athletes are first-time Marathon Finishers! What an incredible feat! __ Now, without the vision of our inspirational leader Jack Brown, this is not possible. Not only has Mr. Brown been these 6 Athletes’ number 1 fan, he was among the first to accomplish this goal. Mr. Brown, along with Lorraine & Gabriel ran the NYC Marathon in 2018 and thus inspired D Pena, G Jackson, K Brutus, K Strong, R Salgado & S Wright to dig deep and find the strength to train and complete the NYC Marathon in 2019. In doing so, CORE has inspired over 20 other members of our organization to express their interest training and running the NYC Marathon in 2020. We at CORE Companies, Inc. are extremely proud of our marathoners and we look forward to supporting the 20+ Class of NYCM 2020.
