Cornell Office of Undergraduate Biology 25.03.2021

The Office of Undergraduate Biology would like to share our gratitude for all you have done this semester, whether near or far, to keep our campus safe and healthy! Together, as a community, we beat the odds and defied most people’s expectations! We know it wasn’t easy and at times, for many, it was very stressful! Special thanks from all of us in the OUB! We wish you a wonderful and healthy Holiday Season! Enjoy the company of family and friends, and get some well-deserved... rest and relaxation. We miss seeing everyone in person but look forward to working with you next semester! Sincerely, Cole, Beth, Amy, Kristy, Jeff, Laura and Megan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPgQZG71_QI&feature=youtu.be

Ishmat Hoque ‘22 is majoring in biology, focusing on neuroscience, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She writes, I am a New Yorker who also happ...ens to be a Bangladeshi-American immigrant. While I grew up on shows like Nature and Nova, a lot of my interest in the sciences stems from science fiction and comic books (like the X-men). When I’m not in class or in lab, you can find me at the library reading or spending time with friends. The purpose of Ishmat’s research is to better understand the regenerative capabilities of extracellular vesicles and see if they can be applied to brain cells in order to promote neuronal repair.
