DET520 MAKING BIG MOVES! Online classes are working smoothly and cadets are excelling with the transition from in-person to virtual. In this week’s LLAB, cadets were put to the test and divided up into groups to work together on a GLP to improve team building and raise camaraderie in the detachment. The cadets have responded very well in these tough situations, showing amazing critical thinking skills and leadership techniques we look for in our future officers. Cadets receiv...ed briefings on the Change of Command Ceremony, Dining Out, and introduced to the Cadet Honor Code. The Honor Code stresses the culture of commitment we have to each other and the United States Air Force as a whole. Being forthright, acting with integrity, and holding yourself and others accountable to the standard is crucial to trusting each other and being mission ready. Aim High

And DET520 is back! With COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to meet in-person during LLAB, but adapting and being versatile is the key part of success! For LLAB 04, cadets received briefs focused around TCCC(Tactical Combat Casualty Care),MOUT(Military Operations in Urban Terrain), Fire Team Movement, and Reveille and Retreat. Each of these skills is essential for GMC to know, understand, and execute, as they will be utilizing all four of these skills during Field Training. GMC cadets learn how to effectively interact with each other in this virtual environment, improve their listening and public speaking skills, and build a strong foundation for these four skills so they can apply it when we finally return to in-person training.
