Happy Women’s History Month! This month, we honor the contributions of women to history, culture, and society. Women have been essential to advancements in the labor movement over the decades and continue to shape the Human Resources profession with 68% of Fortune 200 companies having women CHROs as of 2019. Pictured here are some historical photos of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, once one of the largest labor unions in the U.S, one of the first U.S. u...nions to have primarily women membership, and a key player in labor history of the 1920s and 1930s. It’s no secret that our outstanding faculty are a significant competitive advantage at the ILR School. Our professorswith expertise ranging from Economics to Human Resource Studies to Labor Relations, Law, and History, not to mention several other areasprovide a dynamic academic experience to Cornell students. We interviewed a few of them and asked them some questions about their areas of expertise & their research to get to know them a bit better! Today we’ll be spotli...ghting Professor Chris Collins, who also serves as the Director of Graduate Studies at the ILR School. Almost all MILRs have Professor Collins as a professor for one or more of their classes, but not all MILRs get to know him beyond his class material. Learn more here! #CornellUniversity #ILRSchool #MILR #ItTakesWork #professor See more

Congratulations to all of the teams who competed in the 2020 Bundle Case Competition! Each fall, first year MILRs form teams and compete in a real-world consulting competition. This year, @ecolab was the client and the teams worked on solutions around internal mobility, diversity & inclusion, and talent acquisition. The winning team, pictured here, presented on Unlocking Ecolab’s Organizational Agility: Internal Mobility and DEI Strategies for Success. Ecolab needs a...gility to thrive in a VUCA world with events like global pandemics, racial unrest, etc. The team believes that if Ecolab can shift its mindset around mobility and DEI, they can be more agile in responding to critical business needs. By rethinking roles as personas and encouraging employees to rotate through the business using career pipelines and internal talent marketplaces, Ecolab can develop talent that responds better to customer needs with a better understanding of Ecolab’s business. Ecolab is already poised to succeed in DEI if it takes a highly intentional approach to Assess and Align the organization, and Act to improve its practices around inclusion. Congratulations to the winning team! #CornellUniversity #ILRSchool #ItTakesWork #casecompetition #Ecolab See more
