After some debate, the resolution passed unanimously! Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting and supported!

Tomorrow at 4:30pm the University Assembly will vote on whether to support our demands! Thank you all for your support up until this point. Our petition has gathered over 900 signatures and the demands have been cosponsored by over 24 student organizations. CALL FOR SUPPORT: Cornell University was founded on Indigenous dispossession and genocide. To this day, the University upholds a tradition of profiting from acts of colonial violence and Indigenous erasure. In order to begin to rectify these crimes, the members of Native American and Indigenous Students At Cornell put forward these demands to the University. With Indigenous Peoples Day approaching on October 12th, it’s important to keep in mind the history behind the current spaces we occupy at Cornell. The Morrill Act ensured that the endowment of Cornell University would be built on Indigenous genocide and displacement.
