To: Residents, Families, Visitors and local community We have a resident that has a confirmed positive COVID test. The DON will be working closely with the department of health for guidance. All residents and staff will be tested prophylactically per guidelines. Per the department of health with any positive test result the facility will suspend in-person visitation for a period of 14 days. The facility will continue to offer window visits and zoom/video visits. The facility continues to follow all DOH, CDC, and CMS guidelines. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We appreciate the ongoing support during these challenging times.
There was tons of fun had today! Staff dressed up in costumes and we brought a "pumpkin patch" to the residents! The residents adored seeing the various costumes and their delicious treats!!
We had a pumpkin carving/decorating contest. The residents have voted for their favorites. We have the zombie parkside pumpkin created by the parkside staff and the painted pumpkin created by an activity aide! Congratulations to our winners!!
To: Residents, Families, Visitors and local community, Governor Cuomo declared Cortland County a micro-cluster due to the increased numbers of Cortland County community COVID-19 infections. Currently Cortland County is seeing a higher rate of COVID-19 infections in the community than other areas in the state. Due to the increase in COVID-19 infections we are ceasing in-person visitation out of an abundance of caution for our residents and visitors. Window visits can continue ...along with SKYPE and FaceTime visits. Once the level decreases in the County and community we will evaluate the risk and notify you of the in-person visits resuming. We continue to be committed to ensuring the health and well-being of all our residents and staff. Please feel free to contact the facility with any questions you may have. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Sincerely, Maureen Bard, LNHA See more
