Isn't it interesting if you remove "Relationship" out of the equation, almost all of the topics we've been Focusing on can be reduced to a religious duty, or chore. For instance, "Prayer" without Relationship is something people do to prove what good religious followers they are, "Faith" becomes a badge of honor and "Giving" an obligation. "Worship" is slow singing and an "Ear to Hear" is simply a bar set too high to attain. "The Holy Spirit" is some nebulous force out in... space and "Covenant" is what some people do in a marriage. But "Love"...Love is one that reminds us of Relationship...Love reminds us that God has feelings. Love reminds us that without Faith it is impossible to please God, and if we are not pleasing God it bothers us...Because we Love Him:-). And because we Love Him we talk to Him (Prayer), and because we Love Him, we want to be in a Covenant with Him:-). We want to Give our very lives to Him, because there is nothing greater than we can Give. We want to Spend Time with Him because there I so much more to get to Know about Him and we Trust Him because we have learned that He is Trustworthy! Don't let the devil reduce what we do (or don't do) down to a religious tradition! Let everything we do be motivated by our Love for God! And don't let your Relationship with God become anything less than an "in-Love" experience with The Almighty! Luke 10:25 "On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. John 4:24 "God is Spirit, and it behooves those worshiping Him to worship in spirit and truth." Remember, we are Focusing on God in the hopes of developing our Relationship with Him. As we’ve discussed in the past, we need to Spend Time in order to develop a Relationship. ... That can be difficult enough, but how do you do that with a Spirit? 1:18 No one has ever yet seen God. The only begotten God, the One being in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known We’ve also discussed how we are 3 part beings: -Spirt -Soul (mind, will, emotions, personality) -Body 1 Thes 5:23 " Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." We also mentioned that we are made in God’s image. Gen 1:26 "Then God said, "Let us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness" How do you try to Spend Time with God? When we are with others, we can have on a "mask". In some cases, people never get to see the "real" eternal you...the inner you. Our outward person can never develop an intimate relationship with God. In some cases people have had on a "mask", for what ever reason, for so long, that they don't even Know the Real them. How do you relate to yourself? Do you see the same person as everyone else sees? Or do you see the "you" that God sees...the inner you? Before we can ever develop a real Relationship with God, we need to find the "Real" you. Selah
