Feline leukemia vaccine has been listed among the core vaccines for cats less than 1 year of age in the updated Feline Vaccination Guidelines 2020 published by the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. It is an elective vaccine for cats older than 1 year.

October 11-17 is Vet Tech Week. However, everyone at County Animal Hospital has an important role in keeping this place humming!! So we decided to celebrate "STAFF Week". We are proud to report that County Animal Hospital has just completed its triennial accreditation evaluation by AAHA (American Animal Hospital Assoc.) and we passed with flying colors!!! AAHA-accredited practices are at the heart of better care for pets and their owners. Today, only 12%15% of veterinary practices in the US and Canada hold the AAHA-accredited designation. County Animal Hospital has maintained this elite distinction for 50 years!!! Practices that choose to... pursue accreditation are evaluated on stringent quality standards (over 900 of them!) that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicinefrom pain management and patient care to team training and medical recordkeepingand are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession.
