Coxsackie Area Food Pantry

Many, many thanks to Black Horse Farms for their generosity!! They’ve loaded up our new walk-in cooler with over 1100 pounds of produce, including potatoes, onions, rainbow carrots, cabbage, turnips, apples, greens, lemons, pears and fresh cranberries. Locally grown and sourced vegetables and fruit will provide both good nourishment and reassurance that folks facing hard times are valued by their neighbors. #blackhorsefarms

Christmas boxes at the Food Pantry were particularly appreciated this year. Donations from good neighbors provided lots of choices for a feast with plenty of leftovers. Thanks to Ferguson for turkeys and Reds Restaurant for pies. Hand knit hats and scarves from the Heermance knitting group were very popular, as well as books and pjs from the Rotary. Our capacity has increased with extra space in the Hamilton Steamer 2 warehouse (thanks to Mayor Mark Evans and the Village Board), and a walk-in cooler from the Second Reformed Church.
