This week’s Staff Spotlight is on Caitlin Overholt! Caitlin was a pre-med major in college, but changed her mind and became a full-time teacher. Luckily for us, she missed the medical field and decided to become a paramedic. Caitlin completed her paramedic internship at CPHM in 2018 while she was pregnant with her second child! It should be no surprise that this busy mom is passionate about her hobbies. She is an accomplished triathlete, and participated in the Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon in 2014. On top of all of that, Caitlin loves to swim for stress relief and teaches swim lessons (she’s even taught members of the NYS Police Dive Team how to swim!) This Super Mom says that she loves spending time outdoors with her kids and husband, hiking, biking, and having fun!

2020 sure was a year to remember! (or forget ) But we made it through TOGETHER! Thank you to our entire community and everyone who helped us tackle the challenges of the past year. Thanks to everyone who donated food and treats, masks, and helped us keep our stations clean and safe. Thanks to those who made encouraging signs and gave us a wave or a thumbs up when they saw us on the roads. Thanks to everyone who bought us a coffee or ice cream when we were on a break. Thanks ...to those who said prayers for our safety and wellness and thanks to those who sent encouraging notes and cards to lift our spirits. Thank you to everyone who checked in on us to make sure we were OK. Thanks to our families for understanding our crazy schedules and our worries. Thank you to our colleagues in emergency services for having our back and being ready to help if needed. Thank you to all of the essential workers out there who risked their health to serve the public. Thanks to everyone who helped us get through every day in every little way. If we forgot you in our thanks, please know that we appreciated everything that was done to help us in 2020. And thank you to YOU, our Facebook friends, for keeping us connected to each other even if we were physically apart. 2021 is sure to have its challenges, too. This Sunday is the big day! We will be sponsoring a Drive Thru Toy Drop Off Event with the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office to collect toys for Capital Region Toys for Tots. With so many families struggling this year, the need for toy donations is greater than ever. Stop by our station at 15 Crossing Blvd. from 1-3 p.m. and drop off your donation!
