The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County participated in the NYC FAIR and L.I.A.N.D.D. Mobile Rally on September 17th 2020 from 9am - Noon to send a message to Governor Cuomo that the latest round of budget cuts for disability services may "Send us back to Willowbrook!". The name Willowbrook is synonymous with a human warehouse, and today marks the 33rd anniversary of its closing. Over 100 vehicles traveled from Long Island, NYC, and Upstate to meet at the last exit before the Mario Cuomo Bridge, and cross it together at 11:30am. It was to send a message to Albany that our consumers and their families deserve better, and we hope the message is heard loud and clear! #SaveIDDServices #WillowbrookNEVERagain
