Does this face look familiar? She should after Friday's video! Meet Ashley, our physical therapist at the GAC. Adults and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have delays in developmental skills. These delays often affect gross motor skills, coordination, and posture control. Ashley helps develop these and other basic movement skills. With this knowledge, movement can be safe and independent allowing people to play games, sports, and take part in physical education with their peers. #CPTakeover

Besides AAC, another area our Speech-Language Pathologists specialize in is acquired communication disorders. Meet Katrina, on top of being brave, funny, and dedicated, she is working to get her speech back after surviving a stroke. We chatted with her about some of the unanticipated challenges she faces during the pandemic and she treated us to a short story reading.
