We were recently contacted by a production company that is producing a new television series called ‘HOW I GOT HERE’. The company is looking for second generation teens/young adults (ages of 14 to 30 year old) to travel with their parent/grandparent back to Greece to celebrate their unique cultural heritage for an episode of the series. They would like a teen/young adult and parent/grandparent that have not recently travelled to Greece together, or have never travelled to Greece together, to go to Greece for one week in the Spring/Summer of 2021. The travelling expenses of the trip will be paid by the production company. The eposide is to air sometime in 2022. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, December 1, 2020. You may contact the production company directly for more information at [email protected].
The Battle of Crete began 79 years ago on May 20, 1941. Today, we remember and honor the incredibly strong and brave Cretan Men, Women and Children who courageously fought against the Nazi invaders and who fiercely resisted the brutal Nazi occupation until the end of WWII. https://greece.greekreporter.com//how-the-battle-of-crete/
DEAR FRIENDS: UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK, THE MARCH 27, 2020 EVENT WITH THE VIGLATORES DANCE GROUP IS CANCELLED. WHEN POSSIBLE, WE WILL RESCHEDULE FOR A LATER DATE. BE SAFE EVERYONE!
Yesterday we visited the Greek residents of St. Michaels Home where our children’s Cretan dance group performed. A special thank you to our dance teacher Maria Karakostantakis for teaching our children the dances of Crete that everyone enjoyed. Also, a special thank you to Andreas Karakostantakis and George Exarhakis who played live Cretan music for our children, and everyone at St. Michaels, to dance to and enjoy. Lastly, thank you to everyone who joined us for this wonderful day. .
