Members of the Croghan Fire Department participated in escorting Santa around the village yesterday. Thanks to everyone who made this happen!

Several of our members took the opportunity over the past week to learn and refine vehicle extrication skills. Most of the members who participated dedicated 3 evenings, for a total of 9 hours. Opportunities like this are important since we, fortunately, do not need to use these skills often. We are grateful to each member who participated, to Derek Widrick for providing the vehicles, and last but not least to Chief Steve Monnat for the hours he put in ahead of time to make this training a success!

Recently the fabrication team at Grand Slam gave this old bell a refinished powder coating. This is the original bell for the Croghan Fire Department , the date on the bell reads November 18th , 1862! It’s almost 159 years old and now looks brand new !
