Schools, senior centers and work have been shut down and people are staying home. Our neighbors are hungry so they are visiting us for food. The homeless population in our area has increased and they require different food items since they can’t cook on their own. We will continue to serve anyone who is hungry as long as we have volunteers to serve and the money to buy the food our neighbors need! Our annual big fund raiser is the 9th Avenue Food Festival has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus by NYC. Any support is needed and appreciated 100% of your donations will be spent on buying food! Our address is Crossroads Food Pantry, 329 West 42nd St. NYC 10036. Or you can make a donation here using a credit card! https://www.paypal.com/donate/ (Apologies for the poor formatting of the numbers; copying tables into Facebook doesn't work so well.)
We're going to keep the changes we made for our last pantry in place for the foreseeable future. Of course, any volunteer or client who feels they are sick is advised to stay home rather than come to the pantry. Stay safe.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please note that we are changing our procedures this weekend. Instead of bringing all clients into McCaffrey Hall at once, we will bring them into the hall in groups of 5-10 and hand them their bags so they may leave immediately. There will be no registration for new clients; if you are not yet registered, you will still receive a bag, and we register you in the future. For clients with walkers or handicaps, we will bring your bags to you on the street. Hand sanitizer and gloves will be available for volunteers. Please, if you're feeling sick, stay home and take care of yourself instead of volunteering.

We'd like to thank everyone who helped make our Christmas pantry on Dec. 21st such a huge success. To all who donated toys, money, gifts, or time: Thank you! We could never do this without you, and your support means so much to us.
Correction: apologies for the typo in yesterday's schedule update. The Christmas pantry is on December 21st, not the 23rd. Sorry for any confusion this created.
Schedule update for the rest of 2019. The pantry on 11/2 has been pushed back to the 9th, with us opening every two weeks after that. Thus, our new schedule is now as follows: 11/9... 11/23 (Thanksgiving) 12/7 12/21 (Christmas) See more

Thanks to your support and the hard work of our volunteers, we raised $3900 this past weekend at the festival! Great job, everyone, and we're all looking forward to next year!
This weekend is the annual 9th Avenue Food Festival. As always, we will have a booth. We'll be selling cannoli for $1 and $3, and chocolate-covered strawberries for $1, as well as cold water and sodas for $1. You can find us between 42nd and 43rd streets, outside Manhattan Plaza. Also, please remember that this is also a food pantry weekend, and you're welcome to volunteer on Saturday.
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is our Easter pantry. Please stop by and help out if you can, and have a great holiday.
A very belated thank you to everyone who supported us in 2018, in every way. Thanks to your time, labor, and donations, we were able to serve over 220,000 meals to more than 24,000 people in Hell's Kitchen, including oven stuffers for 396 households for Christmas. Without you all, we simply could not do what we do. Please see below for our 2019 schedule. January 12... January 26 February 9 February 23 March 9 March 23 April 6 April 20 (Easter) May 4 May 18 June 1 June 15 June 29 The schedule for the second half of the year isn't set yet; due to the timing of Thanksgiving, we may have to change a couple of dates around. We'll keep you posted.
Our Christmas pantry is this Saturday, the 15th. It's always one of our two busiest days of the year, so volunteers are always welcome. Doors open to volunteers around 9. Hope to see you there!
