The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the area with heavy snow, sleet and high winds possible from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 8-14 inches and wind gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible resulting in extremely hazardous travel and the potential for downed trees, tree limbs and power lines. Croton Falls Tanker Delivery Spans Generations Original Tanker 8 was delivered in December of 1980 by President Clarke Palmer and Vice President Craig Palmer Sr.... Delivery accepted by members of Croton Falls including the late Harold Daros (Ex-Chief, Ex-President). New Tanker 8 delivered in November 2020 by President Craig Palmer Sr., and Salesman Craig Palmer Jr. Accepted by members of Croton Falls including Fire Commissioner Robert (Bob) Daros. We would like to thank Croton Falls Fire Department for their years of support. They are one of our longest running customers. Tanker 8 was the first vehicle delivered. 30 years later there have been countless projects taken on by us for Croton Falls, including 6 apparatus builds. As many of you know, Drew Outhouse has been in the hospital for the past 5 months and he is finally home! If you would like to join his family & friends in welcoming him home there will be a drive by parade beginning at the Croton Falls Train Station parking lot and proceeding past Drew’s home on Sunday, December 13th. The Croton Falls Fire Department will be leading the parade. Signs and banners are encouraged as cars will not be able to stop in front of his house. Anyone in...terested please meet at the commuter parking lot at the Croton Falls Train Station at 11:30AM. We are looking to start the procession at 12:00. Drew has done a tremendous amount for our community as Highway Superintendent and with his numerous roles in the Croton Falls Fire Department & Fire District. He is deserving of a proper welcome home from his friends and family. See more
