This week, October 19 through the 23 is Active Minds Spirit week! This week we will be highlighting the goal of active minds, to bring awareness of mental health to college campuses and beyond. We aim to create a supportive campus environment where individuals feel that they have access to resources and a community that understands the prevalence and importance of mental health. The Black Undergraduate Mentorship Program in Biology (BUMP Bio) will be holding our first event on 11/4 from 5:30-7:30 PM EST. This kickoff event will be a Zoom career panel and networking event with members of the Black Alumni Council (BAC). This first event will be followed up with other events throughout the year as well as a mentorship program wherein Black undergraduate students will be paired with mentors from the BAC and from grad and post-grad programs in biology-rel...ated fields.
