In order to be transparent, CMH would like to make you aware that a contract employee recently tested positive for COVID19. All residents who had direct contact with this person are being tested out of an abundance of caution. CMH continues to work with the NYS Department of Health to ensure it is compliant. Residents and their families will be notified if any further covid related issues arise Additionally, we will be temporarily halting supervised window visits to free up staff to assist on the floor. Thank you for your anticipated understanding and patience.

CMH continues to be a COVID free facility. With an increase in area cases we will be indefinitely suspending limited outdoor visits. Webex meetings and ground floor window visits by appointment continue to be offered. In the event our COVID status changes family members and responsible parties will be notified within 24 hours.

I am happy to share that Cuba’s Caring Heart Award starts today! The nomination box is located at the UCC entrance. Please feel free to nominate a co-worker/CMH employee that has provided exceptional resident care, has done something out of the ordinary for a resident or co-worker, has shown someone that they care, has made a positive difference in another individuals day (These are just examples/ideas, certainly not limited to these, and managers are not eligible). The nominees will be evaluated at the end of each month and a small reception for all nominees/the winner will be held.
