According to Rich Maha, Resident District Manager at @stonybrooku @sbu_eats, Lisa Battiste is his Hospitality Hero Manager of the Year because she has effortlessly led her team in the SBU Commissary Kitchen under the extreme pressures of this pandemic. Lisa and team have provided foodservice for construction workers three meals a day, seven days a week; emergency services supporting utility workers during recent storms that left thousands of Long Islanders without power; more... than 11,000 meals for resident students in quarantine; and service for the Southampton Campus which was set up as a 14-day isolation facility for returning students. Lisa always stayed professional and focused, which helps her team be successful. She continues to be an exemplary leader in an uncertain time.
