Notes for Tomorrow artist, Maeve Brennan, will meet with The Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery tomorrow, March 3 at 4:30pm EST on Zoom to talk about her work in the exhibition, 'The Goods' Brennan's work 'The Goods, (2018)' was selected by curator Giulia Colletti who writes "At a moment when there is increasing awareness of the relationships between colonialism and the histories of museum collections, Brennan sheds light on forms of exile and repatriation that affect dispos...sessed objects as much as the communities they belong to." Notes for Tomorrow is ICI's newest traveling exhibition, and is on view at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery at Haverford College through April 11. Saisha Grayson, Curatorial Intensive New Orleans '15 alumna and time-based media curator at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, has organized the third annual, and first all-virtual, Women Filmmakers Festival at SAAM, highlighting a different, singularly-inspiring artist each week from March 1 through March 21. This year's theme is 'Her History Lessons' and features works by Cecila Vicuña, Coco Fusco, and Mariam Ghani, that look to the past for insights into urgent... issues of today. This week, Die Balkone curators Övül Ö. Durmusoglu (Curatorial Intensive, Inhotim ‘12) and Joanna Warsza, announced the second iteration of the public art exhibition in Berlin, 'Die Balkone 2: Scratching the surface' from April 30 to May 2, 2021. Initiated last spring in response to the global lockdowns, Die Balkone connected the artists living and working in the curators’ neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg to think together through the possibilities of exhibiting ar...t while institutions remained close.
