Gina is passionate about community involvement. They say it takes a village to raise the children; that rings especially true with the rollercoasters of change and the uncertainty of normalcy during the occurrence of a global pandemic. Gina’s intention behind her studio, community support and interpersonal relationships, is to hold a safe and creative movement space for developing and mature minds alike; to explore physical action in space, time and tempo. This is ...especially crucial for the healthy positive self-esteem and image development of young girls and simply anyone who needs a creative, healthy outlet for whatever reason at all. Gina encourages the children (and adults!) that she mentors in the community, to apply critical thinking skills to their movement explorations so that they can continually practice and develop these skills, as well as apply them through movement and creative thinking to life outside of the studio. Why are you moving that way? What is the impetus? How do you feel when you safely create imaginative movement with your mind and body? Who inspires you and who are you able to trust and partner with in your creative movement explorations, inside the studio and outside, beyond the four walls?
