Hello! I have been putting off making this update in the hopes that I would have an actual opening date to share with you. And honestly, and unfortunately at this point the answer to this very question, is still currently "Not Yet..." Even though Massage Therapists are registered through New York State as Title VIII Professionals, we are currently considered a non-essential healthcare service at this time, and have not been assigned to a re-opening phase.... So, that being said. I do have some news to share! Based on information that I am currently seeing and the expectations of what will need to be in place to re-open safely. I have had to make some very important decisions on how to move forward with my business. The first being that I have put in my notice on my current massage space. After June 30th 2020- my office will no longer be at 22-26 Watkins. Wait! Keep reading and don't be sad - while I have loved my space for the last 9 years, it is now time to move on ... and grow. Second, I am moving the office to my home. This has been the plan for some time but the current situation has expedited the timeline. This will allow me to better address a few of the new protocols that need to be in place to practice safely: Sanitation: I am moving the office out of a public building, that contains many shared spaces. This allows me to keep track of all surfaces that need to be sanitized and when & how they are done so. Better ability to institute contact tracing guidelines (if ever needed). Air Purification Immediate Laundry Access More flexible scheduling options While I do not have an exact date on when I can once again start booking appointments. I do want you to know that I am working furiously on a new (safer) space for when we do get to meet again! I have attached a few pictures of the progress. Stay tuned!
