Impending blizzard, and freezing rain didn't stop this couple from getting their West Point Engagement photos done. I am sad I won't be shooting their wedding, but happy to capture a glimpse into their story. Many Blessings to you as you start your journey as Husband and Wife!

My career has given me the opportunity to capture, new life, happy couples, young adults who take the vow to protect, joyous families, and the occasional end of life services. I was asked to capture's this man's funeral. His passing was unexpected, he was "one of the good ones". A passionate NCO who always took care of his soldiers, beloved by all who met him, caring and hardworking. This was a tough day, and a emotional one to capture for me. Without knowing SSG Chris Bev...ard, I still felt the emotional weight of the events. His wife told attendees, "Thank you for all here showing your support, and I will say this, don't ever take life for granted". I had a moment with her when I handed her my business card and asked her to contact me so I could give her the photos. When I explained that there was no charge for my services, she looked relieved. I gave condolences, but her sense of relief struck me. So I am going to say this: I NEVER charge for my services during a service member's memorial. They gave so much, and this is a way I give back. RIP SSG Chris Bevard.
