I had a situation this weekend where someone thought it wasn’t ok for me to be returning to work. I don’t have to disclose any of this information, I and my status is protected under HIPAA, but I have offered it as a courtesy. I was diagnosed 11/27/2020, I completed my isolation 12/7/2020 as per medical staff at NY Health and Hospitals. I stayed in isolation through 12/9/2020 because the contact tracing corps were running behind and it was my diligence to be cleared by a nurs...e and the corp. I sought additional advice from a physician. If anyone has any questions, I refer you to this note documenting my clearance, again. Personally and not professionally, stop treating people who have had this illness like lepers. There’s a sound scientific reason why isolation is 10 days. As much PPE, cleaning and protection protocols I have in my office, If you don’t wish to assume risk of catching COVID-19, don’t spend an hour in a room with a stranger, don’t go shopping. This is why we are wearing masks and taking additional steps. Everything right now is an assumed risk. I would never do anything intentionally to put other people in harms way. I actually was anxious over someone’s fear and lost over $1690.00 in sales in order to double check I was doing what I should by everyone. I offer this as a way to make a decision for yourself. Hi All- I just received test results of a positive PCR test for COVID-19 from a test taken saturday 11/28. I am currently asymptomatic. ... As such, I still have to cancel all appointments for a minimum of ten days from that date. So I will not be able to honor your appointment request. I will wait to cancel appointments in the system until Tuesday morning to give you time to reschedule for after December 8th at which point in time I should be able to take appointments if I stay asymptomatic or am without fever. I am sorry for this inconvenience. As far as where this came from, I wore an NK95 and a shield on both of my flights and used the wipes I use in the office on my seat. Otherwise all my interactions were outside, so I'm struggling to figure out how and where I would have gotten enough of a viral load for this. So my advice to everyone is to continue to stay diligent. Don't let your guard down for a second. In the meantime, you can shop the last day of the sale in the store!
