I'm very proud of my associate Dr. Stephanie Tran who will be presenting a webinar on endodontics. Her techniques help preserve tooth structure which improve final restorations.

According to Jane Brody it is completely safe to go to the dentist, provided they use some extra precautions.

As per guidance from New York State I returned to practice today for the first time since March 18. Like everything else, it will be different. We've taken several measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Feel free to call to set up an appointment. Anna or Lisa will be happy to go over what we've changed. What we haven't changed is our commitment to the highest standards of care.

Although we can't practice dentistry, we can all use a little dental humor. May the floss be with you!

One of the things I have been doing during my Covid-19 forced vacation is taking Continuing Education courses online with Zoom. I was thinking today about when I first started my dental education. The courses were given with a slide projector! Things sure have changed.

Dentistry is ranked #2 in the annual US News and World Report jobs survey. Although I am proud of what I do, I never thought of it as a "glamour profession, " before.

Great first day at the dental convention. Very likely my last time here with Sarah Zipkowitz, unless she decides one day to become a dentist.

Today is the one day of the year that if you come to my office and ask for candy you will get some. Happy Halloween!

This is the listing in the National Inventors Hall of Fame a co-inventor of fluoride toothpaste ( his partner William Nebergall is also an inductee. ) One of the greatest public health achievements in history.

Interesting story here about a remarkable woman. ( The woman with the hat is dental hygienist. Perhaps I should ask my staff to start wearing one! )

Here is a follow up article from the American Dental Association regarding the safety of Glide floss. Apparently there is little need for concern.

I thought I would pass this along. I am a little skeptical that through flossing you could get enough flourine in your system to cause a health problem. However, there are many other flosses in the marketplace.
