Distinctive Dental Services of New York is pleased to announce that Dr. Reisman will join our practice on July 6th, 2020. Dr. Simone graduated from Barnard College and Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She did a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and was Chief Resident of the GPR at Stony Brook. Dr. Simone completed her Pediatric Dental Residency where she was Chief Resident at Cohen's Children's Hospital.... Dr. Simone brings great skills in treating Children, Teenagers and Special Needs Patients. We are excited to welcome Dr. Simone Reisman to our office. We know she will be a wonderful addition to our DDSNY Family. Welcome Dr. Simone Reisman!

To Our Patients: The well-being of our patients, families and community is of utmost importance to the doctors and staff at DDSNY In light of the current recommendations of the American Dental Association and the New York State Dental Society, our office will be closed for routine care until further notice. The current recommendations are asking us to suspend our business for a minimum of 3 weeks. As you are aware, this is a very fluid situation and these advisories can chan...ge on a daily basis. As soon as we can reopen we will place a notice on FaceBook, and send emails and text messages to you. We will continue to treat our patients on an emergency basis when needed. WHAT WE ARE DOING TO PROTECT YOU AND OUR EMPLOYEES FROM COVID-19, THE CORONAVIRUS 1) Our office has always practiced what is known in the medical field as Universal Precautions. These precautions help protect you and us against viruses such as COVID-19, HIV, and Hepatitis B. We practice these precautions on a daily basis and will continue to do so for your protection 2) In order to limit the number of items patients are touching, we are doing a number of things including but ...not limited to: removing the sign in log and most clipboards from the reception area. 3) We have closed our playhouse for the current time period and look forward to opening it again once the COVID-19 situation is behind us. 4) Our receptionists are cleaning surfaces in the waiting room and elevator every 2 hours with Germicidal Disposable Wipes. These surfaces also include doorknobs and elevator buttons. The reception desk is cleaned after every patient with Germicidal Disposable Wipes. 5) As always, our dental hygienists and dental assistants clean all surfaces including but not limited to the dental chair, dental delivery system, bracket tables and formica tops after every patient. Disposable (single-use) items are used whenever and wherever possible. Blue Barrier Covers are placed on patient light handles and other equipment for the protection of our patients and staff.
