Chautauqua Institution'sYoung Playwrights Project is in Jamestown Public Schools and Chautauqua Lake Central SD 3rd and 4th grade classrooms this week. Thank you to Ms. Arielle Lewis' 4th grade class at MJ Fletcher Elementary School featured in this video - we played theater games such as "Yes let's"and "I am a tree" before writing a play with the class via Zoom! In the activity "Yes Let's", led by Chautauqua Theater Company, Assosciate Artistic Director, Stori Ayers has students use their bodies to physically act out specific scenarios with the goal of modeling and encouraging acceptance of all ideas through validation of the students’ imaginative process.Look for posts throughout the week that feature these amazing classrooms and the playwriting process!! #chqartsed #chqengage #youngplaywrights
