The idea behind The Dirty Dozen Expeditions came around when the Captain of the Truk Master and Aron were sharing a few cold beers after a successful year in T...ruk Lagoon. While watching the WW2 classic The Dirty Dozen, they dreamt about what kind of a trip they would conduct if they had the boat for 10 days with a focus on the serious explorer. The rest is history - and since then there have been hundreds of ideas for a cheeky slogan - but we have never got one to stick, and now we feel the time is right. When should a recreational diver become a dive leader? Do prerequisites even work? Why don't we set the bar higher? Basically why isn't 100 dives enough to become an instructor.. especially not 1 dive 100 times!

Our Roatan Dive trip 11/27-12/5 has been postponed. They are permitting travel. It due to uncertainty of being able to easily meet requirements to go we are postponing. However, we have secured a comparable trip to Coast Rica for those dates! The trip is limited. Our current registered Roatan trip members get first refusal. Then details will be offered to the Deep Stop Scuba Dive Club and finally if any spots remain we will offer to general public. Lots of places are starting to open up if you follow the rules for travel. Happy Diving!

Are you interested in becoming a dive leader? Are you currently a divemaster looking to go further into the professional realm of scuba? Now is the time to sta...rt if you are interested in mentoring with us! We accept 4 Divemasters candidiates per year and start the selection process in November. Our Mentor Instructor Development Program takes 2-4 candidates depending on experience. These programs are performance based and take about 6 months to complete. You will be mentored by multiple instructors and other dive professionals. during your mentoring you'll see how all the annual care and inspection of regs, bcds, compressors, boosters, tanks, and everything else works! We show you seasonal inventory management, trip planning (local and international). You'll learn gear pros and cons from sport to technical configurations. We will show you blending techniques from nitrox through trimix and different strategies to perform these requests. Many of these require full classes to perform on your own but we are sure to expose all dive leaders to as many different areas of the industry as possible. If you are interested please contact us!
