Did you know we can help with plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis can be a chronic or acute condition. There is a fibrous band that runs along the bottom of your foot. The tension in this band helps transfer load across the foot and into the calf muscles. It also protects important neurovascular structures on the bottom of the foot. This is the most common cause of pain along the bottom of the foot. About 10% of the population will experience plantar fasciitis in th...eir lifetime. This is common in young athletes and middle aged women. However, the most common affected population is people over the age of 40. Jobs where you stand or ambulate for long periods of time have a higher prevalence, such as construction workers, teachers, and nurses. We can help you along with this condition by providing adjustments, mobilizations, exercises, and by using other modalities. Call us today to schedule a consultation 716-947-5106.
If you’ve been treated in our office before there is a very significant chance we’ve used flexion distraction or Cox Technic in some shape or form. The reason for this, is because it works and there is a lot of research to show that it works. Flexion distraction is a gentle, safe, and controlled treatment. This is a hands on, doctor controlled form of spinal decompression. It has been shown that intradiscal pressure can be reduced by 192 mm/Hg and the spinal canal opening...s (foramina) can be widened by 28% post treatment. This technique is used to treat conditions such as lumbar herniation, cervical herniation, sciatica, stenosis, bulging discs, generalized low back or neck pain, headaches, even post surgery low back pain, among many many other things. If you’d like to learn more or see if this treatment is right for you. Schedule a consultation today, it’s always best to call us at 716-947-5106.
Is my shoulder pain coming from my neck? Shoulder and neck pathology often share overlapping symptoms. In the middle to advanced age population the chance of having both is even higher. There are nerve root pathways throughout the shoulder girdle area that may mimic a shoulder pathology when provoked. ... Through a comprehensive history and special orthopedic testing we can tease out between the two and treat accordingly. What if it truly is a shoulder issue? Well we can help treat that too, we’re not just limited to treating the spine. We have several manipulation, mobilization, exercise, and modality techniques to help with a wide array of shoulder pathologies.
Funny observations by Tim Smith When I was a kid, this poster hung in my room, and let me tell you, all I wanted was a neck roll like Jim Haslett. I was meant to be a Chiropractor, I have been concerned about neck safety since 1981. GO BILLS!
Hi everybody this is Dr. Joe, I’m going to start posting some information about conditions we treat, treatments we do, and other things that you might not know about our office. Our office is now offering cold laser treatment. This modality is an excellent complement to all the other services we already offer. ... Cold laser, or low level laser therapy, is known as a form of photobiomodulation. This is a non-invasive procedure administered by placing the laser head over an area of the body. This treatment really works at a cellular level. It introduces photons or light energy into the tissue which stimulates mitochondria and brings good immune cells to promote tissue repair, re-modeling, and healing. You could think of this process being like a plant undergoing photosynthesis to produce its energy. This is a very well researched technique that can be used to treat many conditions such as sprains, strains, whiplash injuries, muscular pain, cervical or lumbar radiculopathy, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder and many many other things. If you would like to learn more please schedule an appointment to come see us. We're now open 5 days a week to better serve you. Please give us a call at 716-947-5106.
