Yesterday, one construction worker died and one worker was severely injured due to a wall falling at a work site in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Both workers are of Bangladeshi origin, and the injured worker (A. Hasan) is a DRUM member for 2 years, and the deceased worker, Jasim Mia, is a relative of people within DRUM. The contractor on the site was unlicensed, and very likely running an unsafe worksite and practices. ... Workers lives are routinely sacrificed or endangered in order to make profits. Those profits are made from the blood and the lives of workers.
