Dexter’s Den 26.10.2020

Black Cat Café & Dexter’s Den Customers Due to current public health concerns, we want our customers to know what we are doing to keep our customers safe. We have enacted a new cleaning protocol which goes far beyond current restaurant regulations. In many cases, these are long standing practices, in some cases monthly and weekly practices have been increased and enhanced.... Sanitizing all tables after each customer. Thrice daily cleaning and full sanitation of each table, door knob, chair, milk container and all other customer station containers, along with all sauce bottles and shakers. Thrice daily cleaning and full sanitation of all areas of the coffee making station including coffee implements, all equipment, cash register and entire counter area, tea containers, syrups, etc. Thrice daily cleaning and full sanitation of all equipment, serving and prepping areas, refrigerator handles, bathroom door handles, rear door handles, office handle, Increased use of gloves. Increased hand washing and sanitation when handling money. Several new sanitation stations with new nail brushes. No nail polish rule. The following is general advice from Greenburgh authorities which are already in practice at our restaurants: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available. Cough or sneeze into your sleeve or a tissue (not your hands), then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Stay home when you are sick. (most restaurants do not offer sick pay, we have been doing so for many years) Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a cleaning product that contains bleach We want you to feel not only welcome as usual but safe. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me directly via email (preferred) or phone.
