On behalf of all of our Dexter Incorporation members and Town of Brownville Fire District personnel, we would like to thank all of the children and their families for making today a great success! We are so happy Santa was able to make a stop into our Villages today to say hello, and we hope he’s back for you all this Friday! Thank you all again!
PLEASE HELP US SHARE!!! This Sunday December 20th, Santa will be coming to the villages of Dexter and Brownville! The Town of Brownville fire trucks will be escorting Santa around the village of Dexter beginning at 1:30PM and following that with Brownville around 2:15-2:20PM. We will be traveling through all the side streets of Dexter including Grant Street, and going down Franklin Street, Brown BLVD, and Washington Street in Brownville. Please have your children on the sidewalks lined up to see Santa come through the villages! Please help us get the word out!
Please help spread the word.... Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided to cancel our annual children’s Christmas party this year that we hold at our Dexter station. We apologize for this inconvenience and we hope to have this again in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
The DFD Incorporation would like to take some time this morning to remember one of our own local hero’s... 11 years ago to the day on November 4th 2009, NYS Trooper David J. Lane was fatally injured while responding to an emergency call in Catskills NY. Though he may be gone, his memory has lived on and has shined through these last 11 years. Most all of David’s uncles, including his father Steve Lane, have served time with the Dexter Fire Department. On behalf of all the DFD membership, we send our thoughts and prayers to the Lane family on this solemn day. Though gone, Trooper Lane will never be forgotten, and the citizens of Dexter and surrounding areas will never forget. #DJL30
PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD!!!! We will have our Station 1 (Dexter Station) open for all trick or treaters this Saturday from 5-8PM for candy and hot chocolate! Please feel free to stop in and say hello to some of our firefighters and come get some treats! We ask that all guests wear masks if you plan on coming in and using the restroom as well. We hope to see you all this Saturday for Halloween!
On behalf of the entire DFD Incorporation, We would like to thank Judy and Claude Kirch down at B&J Bait Shop in Dexter for their generous and thoughtful idea! Judy knew that our Pillar Point Station was unable to have their annual Bass Fishing Derby this year due to COVID-19. She took it upon herself to have a donation jar at her shop to help raise some of the money that we were unable to raise because of not having the Derby. She was able to have $300.00 dollars raised and donated for the Pillar Point Station from her customers! As you know, all proceeds we fundraise go right back into the community for our people or organizations in need. We can’t thank Judy enough for her amazing idea. We sure live in an amazing community!
WE STILL HAVE LOTS OF CHICKEN!!! COME ON DOWN TO OUR DEXTER STATION FOR A GREAT MEAL! $10 DOLLARS PER MEAL!
