#HappyThanksgiving! This year’s celebration will look different from those of past years, but the people and things we at DDD are thankful for remain the same: The opportunity to contribute to something greater than ourselves, and to transform lives through our sustainable education and employment programs. Our staff, associates, and alumni, with whom we have formed deep connections and whose personal and professional successes we celebrate as our own. Our partners, d...onors, and clients, whose commitment strengthens our capacity to provide a path to lifelong employment and opportunity for the youth whom we serve. We’re deeply grateful for the number of people who have reached out in support of DDD’s programs, especially during this challenging year. In 20 years, we’ve had the honor of impacting over 7,000 individuals, their families, and their communities around the world! We look forward to continuing this work with you by our side.

#Thanksgiving is just a few days away! While it’s not a holiday celebrated in Laos, one of the countries where DDD works, our associates are happy to share what they’re grateful for anyway: I feel blessed to have a caring work family. Not only did DDD give me an opportunity to grow despite my disability, they also stayed with us during the COVID-19 outbreak and made sure we kept our jobs and had food and essential supplies. Proud to be part of DDD! - Phatsaly I’m ve...ry grateful to have recovered from my motorbike accident and that I can return to work with DDD now. They helped me with my medical expenses and often visited me while I was immobile. I feel very blessed by how I was treated when I was sick. - Serly After my mom passed away, I didn’t think I would get the chance to study at all. I’m grateful that, having joined DDD, I can even study the course that I like. Now in my last year of my IT studies, my dream has nearly come true. - Soukanya What are YOU most grateful for amid the challenges this year? Share your thoughts with us below!

While we celebrate #WorldInternetDay, many youth around the world lack internet access and IT skills. At DDD, we train youth in IT and computer skills as a stepping stone to better futures. Read about Treng Kuy Chheng’s first day as an associate at DDD Cambodia, when she was so excited about using a computer with stable internet for the first time! http://ow.ly/uzfC50C63V6

On October 29, 1969, Leonard Kleinrock (in photo) tried to send the word login from a terminal in UCLA to Bill Duvall at Stanford University. He only managed to send the letters L and O before Duvall’s system crashed. Comment below with the characters LO if you’re happy we can do much more on the internet today!
