Over the weekend, DML got its spring break on in sunny Miami, partying with lots of bikini-clad babes and hunky young beach bums. Actually, scratch that, we we working the whole time. And some of us were in Buffalo, NY, where the beaches, such as they are, are still covered in snow. All our work was to capture the fun that was the VS PINK Spring Break Simul-Party. Check out the video: shot on Saturday, edited on Sunday, posted by Monday. Awesome job by everyone involved.
We just published a new blog post. It reveals lots of mushy stuff about our personal lives, as well as delivering an important lesson about agency/client relations. Enjoy!
DML is looking for interns! We are offering exciting opportunities for one aspiring designer and one marketing mogul in the making. Interested, send your details to [email protected].
We were delighted to help create the website for LOLI Beauty, the new garden fresh beauty ingredients service. Check it out below"
We had a blast creating this video and photoshoot for the GUESS Originals campaign. Thanks to all the amazing women who participated--and thanks to the awesome Juan Patino for the genius photography.
How can a filmmaker convey the concept of taste without access to actual taste buds? It’s hard (unless your audience has taken a lot of peyote.) So we applaud Brit agency Grey London for this beautifully produced spot, which perfectly conveys the idea of spice through visual means. (The only things we don’t like is the payoff: the client’s logo is far too ugly for such a lovely buildup.)
Adorable little girls plus adorable Rube Goldberg machines plus an adorably re-imagined cover of the Beastie Boys' "Girls" equals adorable amounts of win for adorable toy startup GoldieBlox.
NYC, back in the day. Somehow the fact that this was shot by an amateur makes it even more evocative.
We loved this combination of stop-motion and tissue paper sculpture, though it left us wanting to blow our nose. Hat-tip to Laughing Squid (read more about the video at http://bit.ly/17pwd5c)
It doesn’t take much more than a Powerbook to create impressive special effects these days. So we applaud Honda for having the smarts to forgo the digital and rely instead on the magic of perspective. Using only paint, chalk and a few arty props, this ad absolutely bends our mind.
Awesome shots of the South Bronx in the '80s, by Ricky Flores. http://bit.ly/U4yJu5
THE LOWLINE IS COMING! And while we didn’t create it, we did make this awesome Tumblr page about it. http://thelowline.tumblr.com/
