And I'm back! Opening at the new location today at 11am! I'm excited to be where I am now and I hope everyone comes in to see me! My mother will also be starting up sewing and crafting classes there on my off days and times if anyone is interested. I'll keep you all posted. Great things are coming! New products in our small shop that aren't jewelry so stay tuned!

It's official, I've moved piercings to 1001 union Center Maine Highway, Endicott. In layman's terms: up Route 26 over by Toppers Saloon and Phil's Chicken House. I'm very excited to make the change as I've heard it's much closer for almost everyone, and just a hop over Day Hollow Road for my Owego customers! i can't wait to post pictures of the new place once everything is put together. I hope you're as excited as I am.

As of the end of Saturday evening I will no longer be at the shop in Owego as the lease ends on Sunday. Fear not! I'll simply be moving to Endicott and should be open for Business As Usual by Thursday, March 4th. The new address will be right behind Toppers Saloon on rt 26 in Endicott in their plaza. I'll have pictures and updates soon! I will still be at the Owego location until I close on Saturday, February 27th. Don't worry my Owego friends, it's a short hop across Day Hollow Road and you're right there!

Piercings for minors: I MUST have a parent or guardian with a minor getting a piercing. The parent/ guardian is required to have their state/government issued I.D. along with the child's birth certificate. If you have custody of a child that isn't your biological child I need to have the custody agreement on file, especially if you don't have the birth certificate. I do understand that it's an inconvenience and that paperwork gets misplaced sometimes but it's to prove to myse...lf, and New York State, that you can legally give permission to have a piercing done on a minor. "Effective October 28, 2012, New York State Public Health Law Article 4A. prohibits body piercing on a person under eighteen (18) years of age unless the person provides the body piercing establishment with written consent from a parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must sign a New York State Department of Health consent form (DOH 5072, which I have incorporated into my waiver) in the presence of the owner of the body art establishment or in the presence of the body artist. Written parental consent is not required for piercing of the ear" Basically this prohibits an aunt or their friend's mother from taking your child to get a piercing you may not allow them to have and covers your piercer (me!) from the liability of an angry parent suing for assault. If you truly can't find the birth certificate we can discuss other avenues of proof that you may have on a case-by-case basis. It may seem like a lot of trouble but the point is to keep EVERYONE safe and legal!
