Deposit Lumberjack Festival Inc.

Hey folks!!! Happy almost spring time. We wanted to reach out and say hello and let you know we are working on a plan for the 3rd weekend in July (16 to 18). There will be fun things to do around town that weekend provided by the festival committee. I cannot say we will have the full Lumberjack festival but we will do what we can and are allowed. Please expect what we did last year and more if allowed. We are hoping for a game of logging event as well as more Lumberjack festival traditions like the parade, Raft race and craft fair. So if your planning a time to come home visit please plan for the third weekend in July. Contact Charity Tiffany for the parade and vender questions. I just realized its been 16 days since the Deposit day event we hosted. Glad to report zero cases of Covid 19. Thanks to all that supported us , came out and had a fun day. To those few of you that criticized our event this goes to show you that you can have fun and stay safe. LT

No dogs alowed at the church craft fair either... please dont bring them

Hello everyone, some reminders about this Satuday. We are renting the property to have the 50 vendor community craft fair and little kids carnival games. The owners demanded mask wearing and social distancing . We need to obey them so make sure you bring and wear your mask. You will be politely asked to leave if you dont. There will be mask for free and hand sanitizer everywhere with two soap and water washing stations. These are rules of the owners and the festivals . Also ...kayak /raft float will be awesome and kicks off at 10 am. At Ks inn we all will also need masks. KS CAN ONLY ALLOW HALF CAPACITY. please obey the rules or they will get fined. There will be live music you can hear outside and tables to sit in and enjoy. No alcohol outside of Ks. To be inside and have a drink you will also need to order food. These are new NY State rules that we MUST follow. It is a lot of restrictions but the festival board, Joe and Ks inn want to do all of these events for the community. Be respectful please and wait untill you see the firework show !!!! It looks like a very nice day so come.and enjoy yourself and follow rules. See more

Hey Deposit ! We are excited about this weekend. We wish it was our 3 day festival but thankful we are doing the Deposit Day on Saturday. We are making a small change in the agenda . After speaking with the village Our insurance company and our Lumberjack board we feel it is best not to close the street off after the parade. The band is still playing where they originally were and the food trucks will now be next door to Ks at the Village municipal building (old day care) So... not a huge change but it is a decision we made. Now people can park in front of K's and not walk so far. We ask everyone respect to Ks inn and realize they have to keep half full. They will have the outdoor seating open also. Plus some very awesome news that Bob Jensen and Acoustic expressions will be warming up Bekka Frame and the tall boys. We may get Steve and Bob Jamming together which would be awesome. Sop plenty of killer local live music! The Please Visit the food trucks as Jeff will have fried dough and fair food for kids and adults and Mountain Top will have clams and shrimp. With Deposit day coming up next Saturday I wanted to remind everyone to be respectful and use a mask if your in close with people. There are zero cases of the virus here and we will keep it that way!I dont want to hear your personal opinion because I dont really care and it is not relevant. If your against masks please dont come. Also at the block party we can use Ks outside fenced in area and have alcohol but we are not allowed to bring drinks on the street even though its... blocked off. This is a rule from the Village and Sheriff's department. There will be picnic tables and food trucks outside. Ks will also be only allowing half capacity in the bar (per state and liquor authority rules) at one time. That is still a ton of people but please be respectful so we can continue to have these events. Joe and Eileen are also taking a risk having this party at their place and I do not want to get them in trouble. Other bars have not followed rules and recieved a $10,000.00 fine. This community needs a fun day to relax and celebrate our third weekend in July tradition just please be respectful and follow social distancing as much as possible. I had to get a lot of permission and spend a ton of time for the community to have these events so please help and prove to the people that are complaining already that we can do this and be safe and have fun. The lumberjack festival committee is happy to be hosting this day for Deposit but we are all asking people to be respectful and social distance as much as possible. We have a ton of room at the flea market/craft fair and the whole block at the after parade party to spread out. We want to thank DelliCarpini Painting for the very generous donation to the Fireworks for next week. Mark and Crew are in Deposit and do painting, Pressure washing, Staining, Window glazing and light carpentry. They do very great work at a good price and employs a few local folks.
