I’d like to give a huge shout out to San Gennato’s Pizza for taking care of our members that were out yesterday in the storm! You guys rock and the pizza was great!

Hi folks! With the upcoming storm, I wanted to reach out to the residents of Dobbs Ferry and surrounding areas to remind them if you need to shovel tomorrow, PLEASE go slow! There’s going to be a lot of snow and it’s a silent killer for cardiac arrests! Take your time and it will get done. If you have a young neighbor, ask them to help shovel! As always, if you need us, just call! Be safe and enjoy the snow! (If that’s possible!) Joe Rooney

In the next week or so, our Captain, Swapnil Pandya and our President, Joe Rooney will be making a video to discuss the vaccines and questions people may have. If you would like to send us a question to answer, please feel free to do so. You can post it right here. We will be making the video available to the village on their web site along with a few other places that we need to work out. In the mean time, please stay safe, wear your mask and continue to wash your hands.

Yesterday at approximately 9:50PM the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Corps was requested mutual aid to the Village of Irvington to assist the Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps at a structure fire standby. Our crew responded and were directed to stage a short ways away from the fire scene. Thankfully, the many fire agencies were able to knockdown the fire and no patient contact was made by DFVAC. Strong work by all involved! As always we rely upon your generous donations to continue our operations. Please consider making a contribution at www.dfvac.org/donate!

On behalf of the Dobbs Ferry Ambulance Corp, we’d like to wish you and your family a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. This year, most of all, let us give thanks for all that we have. It’s been an extremely tough year for everyone, reach out to someone who might be alone today. You’d be surprised on what a simple phone call can do. God Bless you and your family. Thank you for your continued support during these difficult times. Sincerely, Joe Rooney

As COVID-19 cases continue to raise, Dobbs Ferry has seen a dramatic increase in active cases. We currently have the highest number of active cases out of the bordering Rivertowns and appear to be on an exponential growth trajectory. Please wear a mask when social distancing is not possible, continue to wash your hands regularly and avoid indoor gatherings. We need all your cooperation to help #flattenthecurveagain ... As always, we can use your support to ensure our continued operations. Please consider donating at www.dfvac.org/donate
