CALL FOR ART: Our first group exhibit at the Cinema Capitol Gallery this year is a Pandemic Art Show! This show was originally planned for the month of April bu...t has been expanded to include March, due to a scheduling change. The drop-off dates are Friday, February 26th from 5-7 pm and Saturday, February 27th from 12-2 pm. We know that this is a fast-approaching deadline but hope that you will still consider exhibiting. There are two very important things to note: 1. Artwork subject does NOT need to be Covid-related, just created during the course of the pandemic. 2. This show is open to all artists in the CNY area, not just RAA members. We are trying to showcase all of the artists in our community who have found a way to express their creativity during this time. We are also hoping to feature some students for Youth Art Month, so please encourage any local K-12 students you know to participate. The show will run from March 1st-April 30th, with a virtual reception on March 5th. The gallery is located in the lobby of the Cinema Capitol and can be viewed during their regular showtimes. Starting Monday, February 22, the Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center will be accepting calls for appointments, to help seniors navigate through the NY State COVID-19 Vaccine portal, Walgreen's and/or at Kinney's websites. Anyone needing assistance can call 315 942-5133, to schedule an appointment for help. No walk-ins. We would like to thank The Community Foundation and United Way of the Mohawk Valley for helping provide this service for our community!

The Town of Forestport is looking for interested kids, ages 8-17, who are skiing independently that would like to go to McCauley Mt. sometime in February for a ...free day of skiing!
