Final zoom meeting before everything kicks off tomorrow!!!!! To say I am excited and proud to be part of this project #inthenameofdance is an understatement!!!!... Last year a Facebook group was set up when dancers across Northern Ireland and across all genres were not allowed to dance indoors while many higher risk activities were allowed. A few months on we are in a very different position !!!! Tomorrow kicks off what is a mammoth project involving 672 dancers across Northern Ireland and across multiple genres. Each weekend for the next 8-10 weeks these dancers and their teachers will be sharing their love for dance by getting an insight and lesson into new genres of dance. Huge huge thanks to the schools involved and the teachers for donating their time and energy to make this happen. Massive thanks to amazing musicians at Feisapp who are so generously supporting the project by creating the music for our final piece. While it’s so amazing to keep the dancers engaged during a time when it’s not safe to be in the studio let’s keep in mind the reason for this is to make sure DANCE is not forgotten again when the plan is being created for reopening. !!!!!
