Celebrate Chinese New Year, the Year of the Ox, by visiting the current exhibit at the New York Folklore! The Art of Chinese Brush Painting by Zhong-hua Lu is now showing through March and showcases original Chinese Brush Painting by artist Zhong-hua Lu. Zhong-hua Lu grew up during the Cultural Revolution in China and utilizes the tools and techniques he was taught at a young age in his art today. He also offers beginning and advanced classes in traditional Chinese arts, including brush painting, Tai Chi, and Qigong. The Gallery at the New York Folklore, located at 129 Jay Street in #DowntownSchenectady, is open from 10am - 3:30pm Tuesday-Saturday and from 10am-2pm on Sundays.
